1. What are Cookies?
Our Services use cookies and other similar technologies, such as pixels, web beacons or local storage (which we collectively refer to as “cookies” in this Cookie Policy), to help provide you with a customized, better, faster, and safer experience. Cookies are small files that are stored in a computer’s or a device’s web browser memory. They help website and app providers with things like understanding how people use a website or app and storing website or app preferences among other uses. Cookies also allow us to see if a visitor has seen specific pages, to determine frequency of website or page visits, and to provide advertising. Non-personal information such as browser type, operating system and other information may be collected during visitors’ use of the Services and this information may be used by us to measure the number of Service users. Cookies and related technologies play an important role in helping us provide the Services in a personal, effective and safe manner.
2. HOW WE USE COOKIES
We generally use cookies for the following purposes: (1) to operate and provide our Services, (2) to analyze and improve our Services, (3) for advertising and marketing, and (4) for the other purposes described below in connection with the types of cookies mentioned below. We may change the cookies periodically as we improve or add to or otherwise modify our Services and we will update this Cookie Policy accordingly to reflect all such changes.
3. COOKIES WE USE AND TYPES OF COOKIES
A. Who places the cookies:
First-Party Cookies
First-party cookies are cookies issued from our domain (run by Mighty Immersion) that are generally used to identify language and location preferences or render basic Service functionality. These are necessary cookies, without which the corresponding Services won’t work properly or be able to provide certain features and functionalities. Some of these may be manually disabled in your browser, but may affect the functionality of the Services.
Third-Party Cookies
Third-party cookies belong to and are managed by other parties, such as our business partners or service providers. These cookies may be required to use portions of the Services, to perform analytics related to the Services or to allow for some advertising and marketing. These cookies may also be related to the storage of information, or access to information that is already stored, on your device such as advertising identifiers, device identifiers, cookies, and similar technologies.
B. How long cookies will remain on your device:
Cookies are managed by web servers. The lifespan of a cookie may vary significantly, depending on the purpose for which it is placed. Some cookies are used exclusively for one session (session cookies) and are not retained once the user ceases use of the Services and some cookies are retained and reused whenever the user returns to those Services (persistent cookie). Browser cookies can be deleted by a user at any time.
Session Cookies
Session cookies are temporary cookies that are used to remember you during the course of your use of the Services, and they expire when you close the web browser or exit the Services.
Persistent Cookies
Persistent cookies are used to remember your preferences with respect to the Services and remain on your desktop or mobile device even after you close your browser, exit an app or restart your computer. We use persistent cookies to analyze user behavior and establish visit patterns so that we can improve our Service functionality for you and our other visitors. These cookies also allow us to serve you with targeted advertising and measure the effectiveness of our Service functionality and advertising.
C. Types of Cookies
The types of cookies that we commonly use are listed below. This list is not exhaustive, but describes the main categories of cookies we typically set.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential to facilitate your use of the Services. Without these cookies, you may not be able to take full advantage of our Services or related features, and the Services will not perform as smoothly as intended.
Performance and Analytics Cookies
Performance and analytics cookies help us monitor and improve the way our Services work. We utilize these cookies to analyze how our visitors use our Services and to monitor Service performance. For example, they tell us how people use each page, which ones are most commonly viewed, or whether any errors occurred. These cookies let us know what Service features are working the best and what Service features can be improved. This allows us to provide a user-friendly experience and quickly identify and fix any problems that may arise.
We also use these cookies to collect information about your use of the Services and to combine that information with previously collected information in order to measure, understand, and report on your usage of the Services. Please know this does not include personalization – the collection of information about your use of the Services to subsequently personalize content and/or advertising for you in other contexts (i.e. on other services, such as website or apps, over time). Our use of personalization cookies is described more fully below.
Personalization Cookies
We use personalization cookies for purposes of collecting and processing information about your use of the Services and to subsequently personalize advertising and/or content for you in other contexts (such as on other websites or apps, over time). Typically, the content of the Services is used to make inferences about your interests, which inform future selection of advertising and/or content.
Advertising and Marketing Cookies
These cookies are used to deliver advertising that is relevant to your interests. These cookies can remember that your device has accessed our Services and may also be able to track your device’s browsing activity on website or services other than ours. This information may be shared with organizations outside of our Services, such as advertisers and/or advertising networks.
We use these cookies to collect information, and combine that information with previously collected information, to select and deliver advertisements for you, and to measure the delivery and effectiveness of such advertisements. This includes using previously collected information about your interests to select ads, processing data about what advertisements were shown, how often they were shown, when and where they were shown, and whether you took any action related to the advertisement, including, for example, clicking an ad or making a purchase. This does not include personalization, which is the collection and processing of information about your use of this service to subsequently personalize advertising and/or content for you in other contexts, such as websites or apps, over time, which is described above.
4. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES
A. Our Cookie Widget
The easiest way to control cookies is by the cookie widget that appears when you visit our website, which will allow you to control what cookies are placed on your computer or device. If you do not want to allow for cookies to be used on your computer or device, please select “Deny” (or equivalent) when presented with the options on our Cookie consent banner (although Strictly Necessary Cookies will be used).
B. Browser Methods
You can control cookies via your website browser. For example, most browsers are initially set to accept cookies, an option you change via your internet browser settings. It may also be possible to configure your browser settings to enable acceptance of only specific cookies or to notify you each time a new cookie is about to be stored on your device enabling you to decide whether to accept or reject the cookie. You can also disable cookies by configuring your browser setting to reject all cookies. Please consult the “Help” section of your browser for more information or by visiting www.allaboutcookies.org.
